Kohler Diesel Generators in East Texas Provide Comfort and Peace of Mind!
Kohler has introduced two new ranges of Kohler diesel generators designed to meet variable load needs. The brand is distributed in East Texas by Community Motors, Inc.
The new models include Kohler’s Decision-Maker 3500 (DEC 3500) controller, which is equipped with paralleling software and load management software allowing for automatic paralleling of two generators without the cost and extra footprint of switchgear. The feature eliminates third party wiring and doesn’t need any separate hardware or software. It also saves on third party commissioning and specialist knowledge.
Kohler is the first company to do this with single phase and there is now a whole range of generators it can be done on. Traditional generators have run independently whereas these new generators can be different sizes and can still be paralleled such as 80kW with a 13kW. While load requirements have increased, due to more advanced electronics equipment being used on board, space is still usually a premium. The new paralleling controller matches power capacity with load requirement to eliminate under loading and over fueling, while conserving space, decreasing fuel costs and reducing equipment maintenance.
The new range is available in 33kW-80kW for 50Hz and 40kW-99kW for 60Hz with plans for a new generator from 11kW to be launched at the end of the year. The new generator will bring Kohler’s range down to suit boats in the region of 50ft, which is quite a feature. The generator is the first to comply with Tier 3 regulations with no DPF and no performance loss.
